Rider Hurt in Berkeley Motorcycle Accident on 80 Freeway near Gilman Street Off-Ramp
Berkeley, California (January 3, 2022) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after a Sunday evening accident that happened in Berkeley, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident took place at about 6:11 p.m. on westbound 80 Freeway, just east of Gilman Street off-ramp.
The collision involved a motorcycle and an unknown truck.
Several passersby were trying to help the motorcyclist get out of traffic lanes after the collision.
Firefighters responded to the scene and transported the rider to the hospital with the complaint of pain to the back.
The Nos. 1, 2 and 3 lanes were temporarily blocked following the accident.
