Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Berkeley Accident on 80 Freeway near University Avenue
Berkeley, California (August 20, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hospitalized after being involved in a traffic collision Friday morning in Berkeley, the California Highway Patrol said.
The major injury crash took place at around 9:55 a.m. on the Interstate 80 Freeway near the University Avenue off-ramp.
The accident happened when a vehicle possibly changed lanes in front of a motorcycle on August 20 for undetermined reasons.
Due to the impact, the rider falls into the middle lane after crashing with the automobile and slamming into the back of another one.

The motorcyclist, whose name was not revealed, sustained major injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for medication.
Officials requested a tow truck to remove the wrecked motorcycle away from the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
