Bernabe Garcia Killed in Buttonwillow Accident on Stockdale Highway
Buttonwillow, California (March 18, 2022) – Bernabe Lopez Garcia, 24, of Arvin, was killed in a collision that took place on Stockdale Highway west of Highway 43 near Buttonwillow early Friday morning.
According to CHP, the incident took place when Garcia was driving a 2004 Chevrolet westbound on Stockdale Highway and swerved into the eastbound lanes.
The Chevrolet collided head-on with an oncoming Kenworth tractor and two other vehicles.

Garcia died in the collision.
Miguel Angel Lopez, 29, of Arvin, who was a passenger in the Chevrolet, was transported to Kern Medical with unspecified injuries.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
