Beverley Jenkins Injured in Fatal Head-On Crash on Highway 120 in Jamestown

Jamestown, California (February 26, 2022) – 41-year-old Beverley Jenkins was hospitalized following a traffic collision that also left one person dead Sunday evening in Jamestown, authorities said.

The crash occurred at about 6:45 p.m. on February 20 on Highway 120, just east of Perri Cone Road.

According to CHP, Geno J. Gurich, 32, of Copperopolis, was driving a 2004 Honda Civic east on Highway 120 when he swerved across the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming 2021 Mazda CX-5 driven by Charmin J. Rogers, 34.

Gurich was taken to Doctors Medical Center in , where he was pronounced deceased on Tuesday, February 22.

Jenkins, who was riding as a passenger in the Mazda, was hospitalized along with two other children in the car.

A 12-year-old girl was later airlifted to UC Medical Center in .

CHP said alcohol is believed to have played a role in the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
