Man Injured in Fresno Bicycle Accident on Blythe and Clinton Avenues
Fresno, California (May 26, 2022) – A man was taken to a hospital after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in central Fresno on Thursday morning, according to the Fresno Police Department.
The crash happened when the man was riding a bicycle at Blythe and Clinton avenues at around 7:00 a.m.
Police said the victim, a man in his 20s, had been riding a bike on Blythe Avenue and failed to stop for a red light at the intersection.
The rider was struck by a vehicle that was also traveling through the intersection.
The victim sustained multiple broken bones and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The victim's injuries were not life-threatening.
Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
According to the report, drugs and alcohol were not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

- Do not drive when impaired. Do not use your phone while driving.
