Rider Injured in Santa Cruz Bicycle Accident on Soquel Drive near Winkle Avenue
Santa Cruz, California (January 14, 2022) – A bicycle rider was struck and injured by a vehicle in Santa Cruz on Thursday evening, according to a report by the California HIghway Patrol.
The collision occurred in the 2500 block of Soquel Drive near Winkle Avenue at around 5:30 p.m. January 13.
The CHP said a black Chevrolet Silverado collided with a bicycle rider in the area for unknown reasons.

The bicyclist was transported to the Dominican Hospital with unspecified injuries.
The crash caused a closure of the westbound side of Soquel Drive for the investigation.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
