Bicyclist Hurt after Torry Pines Crash on North Torrey Pines Road
Torry Pines, California (July 9, 2022) – A 55-year-old cyclist suffered severe injuries after colliding with a car on Saturday morning in Torry Pines, San Diego, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The collision happened in the 109000 block of North Torry Pines road.
Per the dispatch, the bicyclist was cycling on the roadway when they veered into the path of a Toyota Rav-4. The Toyota, operated by a 79-year-old woman, and the bicycle ultimately crashed, sending the cyclist to the ground.
Fire officials and medical personnel rushed to the scene and took the cyclist to a local hospital to treat severe non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities did not believe alcohol or drugs to play a role in the accident.
