A 73-year-old man was riding a bicycle eastbound on Voltaire Street when he crashed into a vehicle that was backing into a residence

Point Loma Heights, CA.- A bicyclist was injured in a traffic collision in Point Loma Heights on Thursday afternoon, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The incident took place in the 4500 block of Voltaire Street at about 1:47 p.m. July 17.
A 73-year-old man was riding a bicycle eastbound on Voltaire Street when he crashed into a vehicle that was backing into a residence.
The bicyclist was taken to a hospital with an open leg fracture.
Alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The San Diego Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
