Man Injured in San Marcos Bicycle Accident at San Marcos Boulevard and Via Vera Cruz
San Diego, California (September 20, 2022) – A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in San Marcos on Tuesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of San Marcos Boulevard and Via Vera Cruz.
The 79-year-old man was riding a bicycle in the area and was struck by a car driven by a 23-year-old man.
The bicyclist suffered life-threatening head and leg injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
The driver of the car was not injured.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
