64-Year-Old Man Seriously Injured in Arcata Accident on Spear Avenue
Arcata, California (February 11, 2022) – A 64-year-old bicyclist was rushed to a hospital with major injuries after colliding with a vehicle in Arcata on Thursday afternoon, the Arcata Police Department reported.
At around 3:30 p.m. February 10, a 64-year-old Arcata man was riding a bicycle west on Spear Avenue when he made a left turn and was hit by a westbound vehicle that was trying to overtake him.

The rider was rushed to a hospital with major injuries.
The driver, a 27-year-od Samoa woman, was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
Police said intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the incident.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
