A bicycle collided with an SUV in unclear circumstances causing serious injuries to the cyclist

Portland, Ore. – A bicycle rider was seriously injured in a crash at an intersection in Portland Tuesday night.
According to the Oregon State Police, the wreck happened at around 9:31 p.m. on March 12 at Southwest 3rd Avenue and Southwest Alder Street.
A bicycle collided with an SUV in unclear circumstances causing serious injuries to the cyclist.
The bicyclist, whose identity was not immediately disclosed was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The driver involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
The intersection was closed for several hours during the on-scene investigation.
