Salem, CA. – 28-year-old Blanca Mariela Franco-Ramos of Mt. Angel and Heriberto Rangel-Rangel, 46, of Silverton were killed in a crash that sent three other adults to hospital Monday morning in Salem.
According to the Salem Police Department, the collision happened at around 10:09 a.m. September 16 on Southeast Cordon Road.
The police said two pickup trucks were involved in the accident, but the cause of the incident was not immediately established.
Franco-Ramos and Rangel-Rangel were declared deceased at the scene.
Three other adults were transported to a nearby hospital with severe injuries for treatment.
The mishap blocked the roadway for several hours.

An investigation is underway.
