1 Suffers Major Injuries in Blythe Car Crash on Defrain Boulevard and W 14th Avenue
Blythe, California (March 10, 2022) – One person was sent to the hospital with major injuries after a multi-vehicle collision involving a big rig Wednesday afternoon in Blythe, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics responded to Defrain Boulevard and W 14th avenue after they received reports of the crash.
The responders found a silver Toyota Tacoma, a big rig, and a third vehicle that had collided at around 4:47 p.m.
The vehicles were blocking the roadway, and the big rig was leaking diesel.
A male occupant of the big rig was unconscious.
Paramedics evaluated the motorists at the scene and transported one person who sustained major injuries to the hospital.
Officers are investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
