34-Year-Old Highland Resident Bobby Foster among 2 Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash at Rialto Avenue and Macy Street in San Bernardino

San Bernardino, California (December 14, 2021) – Bobby Ray Foster, 34, was among two people who died Sunday morning following a traffic accident at an intersection in San Bernardino, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
The deadly crash happened at around 2:10 a.m. Sunday, December 12, at the intersection of Rialto Avenue and Macy Street.
According to the San Bernardino Police Department, Foster was driving a 1997 Mercedes Benz westbound on Rialto Avenue at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle, which drifted across the double yellow line into the opposite lane.
The Mercedes reportedly slid into the path of an eastbound 2006 Honda Civic driven by Jose Villegas Olvera, 64. The Honda ultimately slammed into the side of the Mercedes.
The impact caused the Mercedes to split into two halves and eject the driver onto the roadway.

Foster, a Highland resident, and Olvera were pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers were sole occupants of their respective vehicles, authorities said.
Alcohol and speed played a role in the crash.
