At Least 1 Injured in Borrego Springs Accident on State Route 78 near Borrego Springs Road
Borrego Springs, California (March 7, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle collision that happened on State Route 78 near Borrego Springs Road early Saturday morning.
Authorities responded at around 3:36 a.m. March 5, to the collision between a Dodge 2500 and a sedan.
For unknown reasons, the vehicles collided on the westbound side of SR 78.

At least one person sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
The accident led to the closure of the westbound lanes of SR 78 as crews worked at the scene.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
