San Diego, CA. – A 17-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a car as he rode an e-bike in Bay Park, San Diego, on Saturday evening.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the accident occurred around 5:10 p.m. at the intersection of Fairfield Street and Huxley Street.
The teen was riding an off-road Surron northbound on Fairfield Street when he was hit by a 2001 Mercedes E320 that was making a left turn rom southbound Fairfield Street onto eastbound Huxley St.
The teen was ejected from the e-bike and suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
