A 17-year-old boy was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital in critical condition after a two-vehicle collision in Rosamond

Bakersfield, Calif. – A 17-year-old boy was critically injured in a car accident that happened on Saturday night.
The collision happened at Rosamond Boulevard and 40th Street West at around 11:24 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol Bishop Communication Center.
Two cars with major damage were recovered at the accident scene. The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately established.
A 17-year-old boy was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital in critical condition.
Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the accident.
The CHP Mojave Area Office is investigating the cause of the accident.
