At Least One Person Seriously Injured in Brea Truck Accident on State Route 57 near Imperial Highway
Brea, California (December 30, 2021) – At least one person sustained serious injuries following a traffic collision that happened Wednesday afternoon in Brea, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury crash happened at around 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, on State Route 57 near Imperial Highway.
CHP said a big rig and a sedan collided on the northbound side of the highway.
Following the collision, the sedan became wedged underneath the truck.
Major Injury Crash in Brea
Firefighters along with the medical personnel responded to the scene and used the jaws-of-life to extricate the occupants of the sedan from the wreckage.
Authorities said at least one person suffered major injuries in the crash. The name of the victim and their current condition were not available.
The crash remains under investigation.
