Tucson, AZ – The Tucson Police Department has identified a motorcyclist killed in a early this month crash in Tucson as 22-year-old Brock Christopher Jackson.
The deadly wreck was reported at around 11 a.m. on May 3 in the 7600 block of East Broadway Boulevard.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a Suzuki motorcycle was speeding above the posted 40 mph speed limit. An eastbound GMC Terrain on Broadway Boulevard attempted to turn left into a business complex when the westbound motorcyclist slammed into it.
Jackson was pronounced dead at the crash site. Reports indicated that Jackson was fully dressed.
A passenger in the GMC was taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver sustained no injuries in the accident.
The police said failure to yield while making a left turn by the GMC and speeding by the motorcyclist played a role in the crash.
More details regarding the collision were not available.
An investigation is underway.
