Carissa Bowman ID'd as Woman Killed in Carmichael Crash at Walnut Avenue and Kinross Road
Carmichael, California (January 2, 2022) – Authorities have identified the woman who died Wednesday evening following a head-on collision in Carmichael as 38-Year-Old Carissa Francine Bowman of Carmichael.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly wreck occurred near Walnut Avenue and Kinross Road at around 5:30 p.m. December 29.
Authorities said a Kia drifted into the path of oncoming traffic, for unknown reasons, and collided head-on with a Ford.

The driver of the Kia, now identified as Bowman, died following the crash.
The second driver and three children in the Kia were taken to a hospital and were reportedly in stable condition.
According to the CHP, DUI is suspected to have played a role in the incident.
The crash is under investigation.
