San Diego, CA – One person was killed in a traffic collision on 8 Freeway in San Diego on the afternoon of July 15.
The deadly collision happened at about 1:45 p.m. on July 15, on Westbound I-8 at Taylor Street.
Reportedly, Carlos Ary Torres Castillo, 21, of San Diego, was driving westbound when, for unknown reasons, his vehicle rolled several times and crossed over the jersey barrier and came to rest in the eastbound lanes of traffic, where it was struck by an SUV and other vehicles.
Carlos Castillo was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 12:57 a.m. on July 16.
It was not immediately clear if anyone else was injured in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
