Woman Injured in Carlsbad Collision on Interstate 5 near Carlsbad Village Drive
Carlsbad, California (August 21, 2021) – A woman was injured Saturday afternoon in a traffic crash involving two vehicles in Carlsbad, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two-vehicle collision happened at around 12:42 p.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 5 near Carlsbad Village Drive.
CHP said the woman was driving a black Mercedes sedan on the interstate when, for unknown reasons, her vehicle collided with a 2021 Blue Chevrolet Silverado.

According to the CHP, the Mercedes had its airbags not deployed and the driver hit the steering wheel.
The Mercedes driver possibly sustained broken ribs. Her name and current condition were not available.
Further details about the crash were not immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
