Rider Sustains Major Injuries Following Carlsbad Motorcycle Accident on San Diego (5) Freeway near Chestnut Avenue
Carlsbad, California (March 11, 2022) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a collision with an SUV in Carlsbad on Thursday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury crash happened at around 10:09 p.m. Thursday, March 10, on San Diego (5) Freeway near Chestnut Avenue.
CHP said a gray Jeep SUV collided with the motorcyclist on the southbound side of the freeway.
First responders found the rider lying on the right-hand shoulder of the freeway. The motorcyclist, whose name was not immediately available, sustained major injuries in the crash.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
