Covington, WA.- Carmen Pauza, 27, was injured in a crash that left her 21-month-old baby deceased in Covington on Monday, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The collision took place on SR 18 on Monday, October 21.
The WSP said Pauza was driving on SR 18 when she collided head-on with an oncoming car that drifted across the median.
According to the report, Pauza and the other driver, a 19-year-old, were both taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with major injuries.
Pauza's 21-month-old baby sadly died at the scene.
The WSP said the teenage driver is facing multiple charges including DUI.
The accident is under investigation.
