Police reported that Carrie McGlory, 79, was walking across the street when she was hit by a vehicle that was trying to make a left turn at the intersection

Phoenix, AZ. — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Phoenix on Monday evening, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The incident took place in the area of Southern and 19th avenues at around 8:10 p.m. July 14.
Police reported that Carrie McGlory, 79, was walking across the street when she was hit by a vehicle that was trying to make a left turn at the intersection.
McGlory was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
The investigation is ongoing.
