A second driver, identified by OSP as Richard Szymanski, 67, of Redmond, was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Deschutes County, OR – The Oregon State Police has released the identities of the people involved in the deadly two-vehicle collision on Highway 126 in Deschutes County on Monday morning, June 9.
OSP identified the deceased female driver as Carrie Jane Wilson, 45, of Prineville. The second driver, identified by OSP as Richard Alex Byron Szymanski, 67, of Redmond was hospitalized with serious injuries.
Szymanski was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
The highway was shut down for about three hours during the on-scene investigation.

Redmond, OR – One person was killed and another was injured Monday morning in a head-on collision in Redmond, according to the Oregon State Police.
The deadly collision was reported around 10:00 a.m. June 9 on Highway 126 near the intersection with Southeast Veterans Way.
Police said two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision on the highway.
According to OSP, a woman was driving a Kia Sol SUV westbound on 126 when, for some reason, she crossed the center line and collided head-on with an eastbound Ford F-250.
The woman operating the Kia died at the scene.
The man operating the Ford was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries
The accident closed both lanes of the highway for several hours but they have since been reopened.
No other details were available.
The crash remains under investigation.
