At Least 1 Injured in Castaic Truck Accident on 5 Freeway

Castaic, California (November 3, 2021) – The authorities are conducting an investigation into a big rig crash that left at least one person injured in Castaic on Wednesday evening.
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the accident was reported shortly before 5 p.m. on the 5 Freeway near the Lower Crossover.
Authorities said a military truck and another vehicle collided on the northbound side of the freeway.
It's unclear what led up to the accident.

The big rig spilled over 20 gallons of diesel fuel near the center divider.
A HazMat crew responded to the incident and cleared the fuel spill.
