One Hospitalized after Castaic Crash on 5 Freeway near Lake Hughes Road
Castaic, California (January 3, 2021) – One person was hospitalized after an SUV slammed into the back of a big rig in Castaic on Friday morning, a local news source reported.
The crash was reported at about 5:15 a.m. Friday, December 31, on Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of Lake Hughes Road.
According to the local news report, a Jeep Compass SUV rear-ended a semi-truck on the northbound side of the freeway.

The Jeep driver, whose name was not provided, was transported to a local hospital with major injuries.
The slow lane of the 5 Freeway was shut down for nearly one hour as the investigation and cleanup took place.
