At Least 1 Suffers Major Injuries in Castaic Car Crash on Interstate 5 at the Upper Crossover
Castaic, California (August 27, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon in Castaic, leaving at least one person with severe injuries.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck involved three vehicles and occurred at about 2:51 p.m. on Interstate 5 at the Upper Crossover.
One of the vehicles overturned in the crash.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and helped the motorists involved, including one person who sustained major injuries.
The Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the upper crossover were closed for about an hour and a half as the crews worked to clear the scene.
