Rider Sustains Major Injuries in Castro Valley Motorcycle Accident on State Route 84 at Palomares Road

Castro Valley, California (September 24, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Thursday morning in a traffic collision at an intersection in Castro Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury collision happened at around 11:39 a.m. Thursday, September 23, at the intersection of State Route 84 and Palomares Road.
A motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at the intersection, the CHP said.
The motorcycle rider was thrown off the bike upon the impact.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to the male rider who sustained major injuries in the collision. His name and current condition were not available.
Details regarding the pickup truck driver were not immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
