The CHP said a semi truck hauling grapefruit was heading west on South Avenue when it stopped to make a left turn at Highway 41

Fresno County, CA – The driver who was killed in a collision with a big rig in Fresno County on Thursday night has been identified as Cedric Gonzalez, 21, of Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Highway 41 and South Avenue at about 9:47 p.m. May 11.
The CHP said a semi truck hauling grapefruit was heading west on South Avenue when it stopped to make a left turn at Highway 41.
As the big rig entered the intersection, it was hit on the left side by a northbound Nissan that was driven by Gonzalez.
According to the report, Gonzalez was trapped in the sedan, which was pinned underneath the big rig.
Gonzalez was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It's unclear whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the incident, CHP said.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
