Three Hurt in Ceres Crash at Mitchell Road and Whitmore Avenue

Ceres, California (May 21, 2022) – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened in Ceres last Saturday, according to a local news source.
The incident took place on May 14, in the area of Mitchell Road and Whitmore Avenue.
According to the report, a Hyundai Accent was traveling southbound on Mitchell Road at a high rate of speed when an officer tried to stop the driver.
The driver instead switched off the headlights and fled. Shortly after, the driver collided with a Toyota Camry and a Nissan Pathfinder at the intersection of Whitmore Avenue.
A woman riding in the Pathfinder suffered abdominal pain due to the accident.

The woman was taken to Doctors Medical Center for treatment.
Two other parties, who were passengers in the Pathfinder, were also transported to Doctors Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
Two occupants of the Toyota declined transport.
The driver of the Hyundai was arrested for being under the influence of marijuana.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
