Gilroy, Calif. – Cesar Ornelas, of Morgan Hill, was one of several people who were injured in a fatal collision in Gilroy Friday morning, according to a report by the authorities.
The wreck happened on Highway 152 just west of Lake Road Friday, January 12.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old man driving a Tesla attempted to pass a slow-moving tractor and crashed into an oncoming car.
The collision caused a chain-reaction crash involving three other vehicles.
Cesar Ornelas, his wife, and three children were riding in a Dodge involved in the accident.
Cesar, his wife Maribel and one of the children, a one-year-old boy, were transported to a hospital for treatment.
His two daughters, Elisa and Valentina, were sadly killed in the incident.
The California Highway Patrol is working to determine the cause of the cause of the crash.
