Chandler, AZ. – Nick Vasquez, 38, of Casa Grande, and Sameera Vishwanath from Newark, California, have been identified as the two drivers killed in a traffic collision late Tuesday night in Chandler.
According to the Chandler police, the accident occurred at about 10:30 p.m. on June 18, near Armstrong Place and Price Road.
Police said Vasquez was heading south on Price Road when he lost control of his Nissan and crashed into Vishwanath's Ford SUV.
Responding officers found the two drivers and, the only occupants of their vehicles, dead.
The intersection was closed following the crash.
Police believed speed, impairment, and other factors played a role in the accident.
An investigation to determine why Vasquez lost control is ongoing.
