Charles Idell Killed in South Lake Tahoe Accident at Black Bart and Hank Monk Avenues

South Lake Tahoe, California (July 23, 2022) – Charles Idell, 47, of South Lake Tahoe, has been identified as the man who was killed in a traffic collision in the city earlier this week, according to the authorities.
The incident was reported at around 6:48 a.m. on July 20, in the area of Black Bart and Hank Monk avenues.
According to the report, Idell was driving a Yahama northbound on Black Bart Avenue when he crashed into the left side of a Toyota pickup that was making a left turn from Hank Monk Avenue onto Black Bart Avenue.
Idell was taken to Barton Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The other driver, Jennifer Allen, 40, of South Lake Tahoe, was also taken to Barton with minor injuries.
Authorities said both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the collision.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
