Tehama County, CA.- A woman from Chico died following a crash that led to the arrest of a suspected DUI driver in Tehama County on Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Highway 99 at about 1:48 p.m.
CHP said Andre Tucker, 43, of Chico, was driving a 1997 Ford Expedition south on Highway 99 when he drifted into the northbound side and collided with an oncoming 2015 Honda Accord.
The Ford then crashed head-on with a northbound 2012 Toyota Prius.
The driver of the Prius, a 22-year-old Chico woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The operator of the Accord, a 56-year-old woman, was taken to Enloe Health for treatment.
Tucker was also taken to Enloe Health with minor injuries and was later booked into the Tehama County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
