Child Airlifted after Pedestrian Crash at Decoro Drive and Seco Canyon Road

Saugus, Calif. – A child was struck and critically injured by a vehicle at an intersection in Saugus Monday morning.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the wreck happened at around 7:40 a.m. at Decoro Drive and Seco Canyon Road.

The police said a vehicle hit the child in the area in unclear circumstances causing severe injuries to the victim.

A helicopter was requested and the child was transported to Central Park where they were subsequently airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

The identity of the victim was not immediately established.

No additional information about the wreck was provided.

An investigation is underway.
