4 Injured in Orange Auto Accident on South Prospect Street and East La Veta Avenue
Orange, California (May 30, 2022) – A child was among four people hurt in a traffic collision that happened at an Orange intersection early Sunday morning, according to authorities.
The incident happened at about 12:12 a.m. on May 29, on South Prospect Street and East La Veta Avenue.
According to the report, two vehicles were involved in the accident.
One person was trapped in the wreckage and was freed by firefighters.
A child and three other parties were taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
A fourth party declined to be taken to a hospital and was arrested for unspecified reasons.
An investigation to determine the cause of the collision is underway.

According to statistics by NHTSA, over 15,000 lives were saved by seat belts in crashes that happened in 2017. In 2020, 10,893 unbuckled people in passenger vehicles died in crashes in the US. 60% of the young adults (ages 18 to 34) killed in the crashes were completely unrestrained.
