Peoria, Ariz. – A child was hospitalized with critical injuries after a bicycle crash in Peoria on Wednesday night, according to the Peoria Police Department.
The incident took place in the area of 72nd Avenue and Jomax Road on Wednesday, March 21.
Police said a juvenile was riding a bicycle in the area when they were hit by a vehicle.
The victim was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
Police said impairment was not suspected to have played a role in the collision.
The crash caused the closure of Jomax Road between 67th and 75th avenues as authorities investigated the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
