Child Dies in Car Crash at Base Marine in Twentynine Palms

Twentynine Palms, Calif. – A 10-year-old boy was killed in a car crash in Twentynine Palms last week Friday.

According to the authorities the collision happened at around 12:30 p.m. on February 16 at Base Marine.

The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms said a MCAGCC Provost Marshal Office vehicle collided with a privately-owned vehicle in unclear circumstances.

The boy, whose name was not immediately disclosed, died of their injuries on Sunday February 18.

The name of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

No additional information about the wreck was provided.

An investigation is underway.
