San Francisco, CA. – A child was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a bicycle accident that took place Monday evening at an intersection in San Francisco's Richmond district.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. at 7th Avenue and Balboa Street.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, an adult was riding a bicycle with a child on board when they were hit by a car.
The child was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
The driver stopped and cooperated with authorities.
The accident disrupted the Muni 31 bus' service. It was rerouted through Cabrillo Street between 6th and 9th avenues while investigators worked the scene.
