Portland, Ore. – Authorities are investigating a deadly two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Portland Wednesday night.

The police said the collision was reported at North Fessenden Street and North Mohawk Avenue at around 9:05 p.m.

Two vehicles collided at the intersection in unclear circumstances.

Two adults male and female and three children were injured in the accident. One of the children who was unresponsive was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The identities of the victims were not immediately released.

Police said North Fessenden Street between North Avenue and North Allegheny Avenue remains closed as the crash investigation continues.

No additional information about the wreck was provided.

An investigation is ongoing.
