Woodland, Calif. – A 2-year-old child died after being struck by a car on Saturday afternoon in Woodland.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened around 3:45 p.m. in the 300 block of West Street near West Main Street, according to the Woodland Police Department.
A black Dodge truck is reported to have struck a child in unclear circumstances.
The child was transported to the hospital where they died while receiving treatment.
The truck driver stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
