1 Killed, 4 Injured in Crash Involving Big Rig on 210 Freeway in Upland

Upland, California (July 19, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash involving a big rig that happened Monday night in Upland.
The accident was reported at around 9:21 p.m. on westbound 210 Freeway, just east of Mountain Avenue.
A big rig, a passenger car and a utility pickup truck were involved in the collision. The big rig overturned on the right-hand shoulder.
Several Good Samaritans stopped at the scene to help those involved in the crash.
A person reporting the collision to authorities said about four people were out of the vehicles, lying on their backs in traffic lanes.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving reports about the collision.
CHP said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Four other people were injured. Three patients were listed as immediate and one as delayed.
All the vehicles were towed away from the scene.
A SigAlert was issued for a hard closure of all westbound lanes of the freeway.
