Long Beach, CA. – At least one person was injured in a traffic collision that happened late Monday night in Long Beach.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 9:28 p.m. on southbound Interstate 710 at the Gerald Desmond Bridge.
Two vehicles were involved in the accident.
CHP officers, Long Beach police, Harbor Patrol officers, Caltrans personnel, and firefighters responded to the scene.
The report said at least one person died in the crash.
It was unclear if anyone else was injured.
Southbound I-710 at Gerald Desmond Bridge and the Pico Avenue and Ocean Boulevard on-ramps to southbound I-710 were closed following the collision.
