The wreck occurred around 9:43 p.m. on Maricopa Highway, also known as State Route 166, just a mile west of Old River Road.
A white GMC pickup truck and another pickup truck were involved in the collision.
The report said at least one person died in the crash.
The highway was shut down to allow a helicopter to land and airlift one person to the hospital.
