At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Whittier Car Crash at Valley View Avenue and Leffingwell Road
Whittier, California (July 4, 2022) – At least one person was seriously hurt in a two-vehicle accident that happened Monday afternoon at an intersection in Whittier, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The incident was reported at about 1:09 p.m. at Valley View Avenue and Leffingwell Road.
A Volkswagen Jetta and a Nissan Maxima collided at the intersection for unknown reasons, leaving one person possibly trapped.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Los Angeles Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
Authorities said at least one person suffered major injuries in the collision. The patient was hospitalized in unknown condition.
The Nissan was towed away with moderate front-end damage and the Volkswagen with moderate left-side damage.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
