2 Hurt in Interstate 405 Motorcycle Accident near Interstate 105 in Hawthorne
Hawthorne, California (July 13, 2022) – Two people were hurt when a motorcycle crashed into the rear of a pickup truck Tuesday morning in Hawthorne, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at about 9:06 a.m. on southbound Interstate 405, near Interstate 105.
CHP said a red motorcycle that was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed slammed into the back of a white pickup truck for unknown reasons.
The rider ended up in the bed of the pickup truck, and their female passenger was down in the HOV lane with a bleeding face.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to offer medical aid to the two parties. It was not clear what injuries the rider sustained.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
