Three vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of the freeway near Highway 237 Connector

Milpitas, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday night on Interstate 880 in Milpitas, leaving one person hurt.
The pileup was reported around 11:42 p.m. in the southbound lanes just north of the Highway 237 Connector.
A Honda Accord, a Kia Soul, and an SUV were involved in the collision. The Kia went about 20 feet down an embankment in the crash and had its airbags deployed. The SUV sustained moderate front-end damage.
The report said the collision resulted in minor injuries. An occupant in the Kia complained of pain to the leg. Paramedics provided medical aid to those involved.
Several traffic lanes were closed following the crash. All lanes were back open by 12:46 a.m. Thursday.
