CHP Officer Hurt in Madera County Accident on Highway 41 near Road 415

Madera County, California (July 3, 2022) – A crash between two vehicles left a California Highway Patrol officer injured on Saturday evening near Coarsegold in Madera County.
According to authorities, the wreck happened on Highway 41, just north of Road 415, at around 6:30 p.m.
The officer was in a marked SUV traveling southbound on Highway 41 when he collided with a Ford F150 that was backing out of a driveway onto the highway.
The officer reportedly tried to apply his brakes but was unsuccessful, and the two vehicles collided.
Authorities said the CHP officer sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The second motorist had a complaint of pain.
According to the report, alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing.
